Summary: The Avengers aren’t a thing, but Tony’s their sugar daddy and gives them gifts and brings them home to his house like strays, and while they often leave and travel the world, they always come home to him.

 

A non-powered Avengers AU. What could possibly be interesting about that?

Quite a bit, as it turns out.

This fic deals with a lot of situations that seem pretty good, even too good to be true–having someone like Tony Stark as your sugar daddy, having a sort of open, everyone-loves-everyone-else polyamory thing going on–but it also takes a look at some of the problematic aspects–bits of the social rejection, jealousy, and the mere fact that being in love, or being financially stable, doesn’t always cure personal problems.

I really like ensemble fics for the Avengers, and there are a lot of polyamorous, or at least pseudo-polyamorous fics cropping up, which makes me all kinds of happy. Avengers is one of those fandoms where I can’t ship just one pairing.
