Sometimes you run across things you never really thought you’d want. I can kind of see an X-Files/Torchwood crossover working in my head, now that I think about it, but Doctor Who seems a bit too optimistic to work in the bleaker world of The X-Files. That said, I can see Mulder being a fan. A huge dorky fan. And we can’t ignore his taste for strong red-haired women.

I love that this fic makes Donna into a Time Lady of sorts, and she takes Mulder as her companion. It just works. Mulder gets to see the stars, hopefully in a somewhat gentler way, and Donna is kick-ass and–well, I don’t like what happens to her in canon, so I am quite happy to see an alternate ending for her. Bit of a pity Scully couldn’t go too. I’ve gotten fond of having a married couple in the TARDIS.
