Summary: Derek is looking at Stiles like a little help here? and also like he hasn’t seen Stiles since the summer and can’t stop himself from looking. Derek’s very good at looking. Has always been good at that.

What does he think of Stiles’s new, scruffier hairstyle, the way he’s finally filled out all the lanky with the freshman 15? Can he see the lines of Stiles’s new tattoo snaking along his collarbone, showing at the seam of his t-shirt? Can he smell that Stiles isn’t a virgin anymore? Can that be sniffed?

Again, I’m not a Teen Wolf fan. I know a bit of it just from browsing tumblr, but I’m no expert of characterization and whatnot. I have no idea if this is a good fic from fandom perspective.

It’s a good fic to me, though. I love the pack mentality–it’s the same sense I get from the multitude of Avengers puppy pile fics. Just that feeling of something that’s the closest friendship, something as profound as a familial bond, but still allowing for some sexytimes. What could be more ideal?

The sex scenes are pleasantly varied, with the most explicit stuff happening first. I was surprised at myself–I kept expecting an even bigger, more explicit sex scene towards the end, and I was confused when the rest of it was much more brief. Then I wondered, wait, why does this surprise me? it’s not like any of the other scenes are any less hot for being less explicit. There’s loving sex, wild sex, kinky sex, shower sex–way more than enough hotness to keep me happy. And there’s also a lot of emotional intimacy, cuteness, and–well, everything I want out of a fic, really.
