Yeah, this is pretty much smut. Delicious smut. Another pick-me-up sort of fic after the Father Charles series. This is also going to close out my religious fics “week,” unless something else jumps to mind in the next 24 hours. Hope someone out there enjoyed.
I may have a thing for a toppy, teasing Charles. Like, if you asked me, I’d probably tend to have him bottom. I’d peg Erik as the aggressive one. And yet I have so many fics with Charles tying him up and making him beg.
And…yeah. This is some lovely porn, and if it hits your kinks, I hope you enjoy. I don’t have much to say today. Whoops.
Um, topic, need a topic–ah, I occasionally wonder about the idea of “dubcon.” Dubcon is, of course, “dubious consent,” a grey area in fic given to sex scenes that aren’t entirely consensual, but also aren’t completely non-consensual (non-con). In real life, there’s no such thing as dubcon–if someone doesn’t want sex or is coerced for any reason, it’s rape. But in fic a lot of people seem enamored of things like (consensual) rape fantasy, or outside forces making two characters get together–your basic sex pollen/aphrodisiac tropes, mate-or-die (whether a biological imperative or a sadistic captor) tropes, drunken or heat-of-the-moment or otherwise impaired sexings that lead characters to suddenly realize they’ve been to ~blind~ or ~stubborn~ or ~scared~ to get together with the person they’re meant to be with, etc etc and etc.
I tend to label things as dubcon is the person ends up accepting or enjoying at the end, or if there are no ill intentions. Again, in real life, if you don’t consent you don’t consent, and even if you enjoyed the sex, it can still be something you didn’t want or consent to. But in fiction, where no one’s really getting hurt, I’m okay with some of the aspects of rape fantasy–the idea of wanting to be forced a bit and ultimately enjoying everything. Of course, I’m the type of person to enjoy just about anything as long as it’s well-written, so I’m probably not the person to really talk about problematic aspects of fic.
(Looking for more fic recs?)
