Summary:

It is a Friday night, and Maya finds herself in a seedy porn shop with none other than Miles Edgeworth. That chance happening leads to the happiest relationship she could ever imagine, with both of the men closest to her.

But when tragedy strikes Miles, and disaster strikes Phoenix, Maya finds herself alone to cope with a dirty little secret...

 

I fully admit that there’s some soap opera-esque melodrama going down in this fic that might turn readers off. Some of it makes me squirm too. 

On the other hand, it has an excellent threesome, complete with all parties feeling guilty and wondering how they’ll navigate the relationship. It gets them together, breaks them up for completely believable reasons, and slowly gets them back together. They love each other, but life gets in the way. Bad decisions are made. Mistakes happen, and everyone gets dragged into a complicated mess. These are seriously damaged people in this fic.  And yet, thought everything, the love the three characters feel for each other remains, and they get through it.

It gets into the events that take place between Phoenix Wright 3 and Apollo Justice, from Phoenix’s shock at his disbarment to the way he takes Trucy in and bonds with her. It’s really the perfect sort of space for fanfiction–important, involving the characters we love, and, for the most part, untouched-upon in canon. It ends up offering the story of AJ from a totally different perspective, putting the characters who were notably missing–Edgeworth, Maya, Pearl–back into the story in a way that feels natural.

Ah, sorry to be so vague about everything, but it’s really better to read.
