Title: Should Old Acquaintance Be Forgot
Author: xylodemon
Fandom: Good Omens
Rating: G
Pairing: None, gen
Warnings: Nothing big.
Other notes: holiday fic (New Year’s), humor
Length: 6k
Summary: In which Crowley starts over. Again. And again. And again.
My thoughts:
It’s high time I dig through my slightly-less-known and somewhat-obscured fandoms for fic. Well, not that Good Omens is really obscure, I do have fewer fics bookmarked.
Writing a good humor fic is hard. I do draw a line between crack–which is usually more absurdity for absurdity’s sake–and humor. Humor is harder, I think. I’ve read my fair share of ‘humor’ fics that just make me sort of, I don’t know, wince? Furrow my brows in confusion?
This is a lovely example of both a gen fic and a humorous fic, an irreverent look at Crowley’s not-quite-evil life.
(Looking for more fic recs?)
